A Huge Mistake We Make With Waste Collection
Waste collection is important and there are many reasons why. For example, you might have been having a clear out so you can finally say goodbye to years worth of clutter.
And if you hand your waste to a reputable company such as CBS Waste, you will be safe in the knowledge it will be recycled or disposed of safely and legally.
Creating a pile of waste is the most obvious thing to do prior to a waste collection. But you shouldn’t leave the pile out for too long and here’s what you need to bear in mind:
Garden Damage
Your waste might have insects crawling around on it, some of which could damage your lawn. So-called disturbances can also contribute to or cause soil erosion.
Aesthetic Problems
There are environmental considerations with waste disposal and collection, but piles aren’t pretty. Leaving it sitting there means your garden could become an eyesore.
Annoyed Neighbours
The last thing you want to do is upset your neighbours. Piles that have nasty smells or stack so high they can be seen over the fence won’t impress them.
Solving The Problem
Ideally, you should move your waste pile into position for collection on the day and try and keep it in your shed or garage.
Another tip is to put a note on your waste saying that it is due for collection by a waste disposal company and the date. That way, it won’t be taken away and potentially fly-tipped by someone else.
You can trust CBS Waste to take your garden or domestic waste away. And we can collect anything from furniture to fences and from baths to bookcases. We also give all our customers, both domestic and commercial, a Waster Transfer Notice.
